GENERATION OF SHA CHI

When a building is faced by the corner of another building, perhaps across the road, it will be subject to sha chi. This sha chi is often referred to as "secret arrows" in which the arrow flies from the offending building, threatening the building or site in question. The effects can be varied, but may include the occupants being particularly prone to illness.

Whenever there is a bulding by a road or some other public way, the edge of that building will produce sha chi which may be directed at your house.

The actual site uponwhich a house is built may also contribute to the sha chi. Within the ground itself, faults and similar features create sha chi. This may also include small valleys which is straight will generate sha chi. External, man-made features such as poles and wires, used for various reasons including the provision of the utilities, can also be detrimental because they carry sha chi.Wires should preferably run at a low angle to the building almost parallel to it, and poles, posts and trees should not be positioned immediately outside window.

As will be discussed later, there are many configurations inside the house that should be either be avoided or amended, to avoid or lessen the sha chi. For this reason, stairs should not descend immediately facing the outer door, and the back door of a house should not be visible when entering through the front door. In both cases good chi is allowed to flow directly out of the house before it has been able to circulate. It is also better to avoid a layout in which the house is split by a corridor at the center. This may lead to a division of the house, which is a bad thing, and the corridor may encourage the chi to move rapidly.
