Feng Shui is an all-encompassing approach to living and to ordering one's environment. Feng Shui combines what at first seems a curious mix of Feng Shui factors:
- Philosophy
- Interior ( and exterior ) design
- Divination
- Plain common sense
- ( and in some cases ) Astrology
For many people it is the 'oracle ' that should be consulted before many decisions are taken, and in China it often is the focus around which people live and how they plan their homes and lay them out internally. It can be used to choose the more opportune days upon which to start something, whether it be a marriage, building a new home, commencing a new business or starting a new job. It can even be used to decide the location of a relative's grave. It thus forms a predictive tool for life;s situations, whether impending changes involve the individual, their family or their finance.
